What Should I Target

Hey everyone,

in a couple of weeks we are thinking about hiring a boat down at brooklyn as i have never fished in winter just curious to what i should be targeting and where abouts should i be going as i have never fished brooklyn in a boat before.

If you can get to the oyster leases ( if you're allowed to ) - go there - North side of the river in the Moonie moonie section, berley pilchards and fish light unweighted baits or try SPs. If you can positon so you berley goes into the racks, in theory it should draw out the bream and give you some sport.

There are many Raiders who know the river better than I do but this is worth a crack.

I not sure where your boundary for a hire boat is but with the water cooling a bit of drifting could land you some flatties or a flounder.Try around Wobby Beach

Go to this web site http://www.waterways.nsw.gov.au/maps.html#coast.

The maps are good and if you increase the size you will see the zones marked for where hire craft can go.

Also it will give some help finding the places that hace mentioned.
