According to the July Modern Fishing, Mr Bethune “has been diagnosed with cancer. The fishing community will be running fundraising activities to help John get back on the water as soon as possible. This news came to hand as we went to print, so please visit the Modern Fishing Website at: www.modernfishing.com.au for more info on how you can help the legendary Mr Bass.” Sad stuff . Flattieman.
