Guest bluecod Posted October 14, 2004 Share Posted October 14, 2004 Been thinking about loading up my Penn Inters with braided dacron which is soft supple and almost no stretch - it was very popular some years ago but its use seems to have died off. As I occasionally bottom bash in very deep water, I reckon it could be worth a try as it doesn't seem to have the abrasive characteristics of modern braid and would be easier on the gel coat, trace man or if you had mono lines out at the same time. I know what Trev [the lurker] thinks but has anyone had experience with braided dacron and can offer advice before I go to the trouble of importing some?
