Guest danielinbyron
well the palm trees in byron have well and truly stretched there ham strings the past few days.... south easterly winds good for not much... but when walking the dog today as the rain had slowed to a drizzle, i spotted a heap of birds reeking havoc just off the break wall at main beach..which faces north, .raced home changed shoes rigged up with a blade , dog saw me going for a fish and took off on his own adventure somewhere.. raced back down and managed to get a bird with just about every cast.... no hookups thank christ.... tried a diver and a plastic .... thought to myself ..god i'm an optamist... went home ... got a call from a caravan park 4 miles away to go pick up my dog... Mondo Rock
Great story Daniel - and to harold for interfering with the great Aussie tradition of exaggerating a little when spinning a yarn!!
