Fishfinder Advice

Gday fellas, I have a Garmin 180 Blue Sounder and as soon as we hit Browns it wouldnt give us a depth. On the depth options it has up to 600 m so is that the max? Bit shitty it doesnt allow us to find the peak of browns etc.

Any ideas?

Sorry fellas ignore this, I jus found the discontinued items section opf Garmin. Has a range of 1500feet (457m). I think its around 650m at Browns?

You need pretty powerful equipment to read the bottom of browns. I have a Simrad eq32 with a thru hull transducer and I couldn't get the bottom, but I feel I still need to get to know my sounder properly and play with more settings to get the best out of it. Don't expect to read the bottom with the sounder you have its not important anyway unless you plan on bottom fishing.
