abitfishy
Hey all, Theres no mention of these ramps in the boat ramp section here - was wondering if it was possible to launch a small (4.3m) boat at dead low tide at the ramps at either Hawkesbury Esplanade or Holt Pt Rd - or is there too much sand below the ramp? The reason being I want to fish Towra Point for some flatties...... Ta Abitfishy (Martin)

Outnumbered
it's been over a year since i launched at the hole in the wall, at low tide you have to watch out for the drop off at the end of the ramp. i tried to retrieve my boat there and got my trailer wheel in the hole and couldnt get it out with the boat on (duel axle trailer 5.25mtr glassboat) had to drive around to the holt road ramp and retrieve it there, it was a long climb up from the water to the trailer at low tide there. i ended up joining the st george motorboat club and now use their ramp 99% of the time. Guest IFishSick.
I use the Hole In The Wall with a 6m Haines Hunter, It's a top warf because it's really deep.
Davemmm
It would want to be a very low tide at the hole in the wall for the drop off at the end to worry you with a 4.3m. The only problem is the queue sometimes to get back out of the water.
reel_success
i live near holt pt rd and the ramp goes forever, been there with a 6m boat on king low tide with no problems. With your 4.3m alloy it would be a beeze. if there is a strong NE winds it can sometimes be abit hard. PM me if you you are going to launch down there. Pic BTW som nice sand to drag the boat up at low tide, no rocks on the northern side Plenty of parking
