Fisherman5 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Sup Guyz, Looking around for a downrigger for Chrissy. Looked at the Penn Fathom master 625 anyone ever used one and how do they compare to Scotty downriggers? Many thanks, Mitch
FletcherG1991 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 we sell them at #@#$ (not sure if it is the 625 but they are a fathom master) not as nice as the scotty's but still a very nice downrigger if your just looking for something to troll around livies for kings etc with and don't want a scotty this will be great
jjsydney Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Hi All I have a Penn 600, 2foot boom and a Penn 625 with a 4foot boom. They are great robust hard wearing riggers. I use mine inshore and out wide sinking lives for big dollys etc etc. or kings inclose. Good drag easy wind in. Been very happy with mine, i run 3.5kg torpedo weights on it. Have PM'ed u as well Jon
