caribet
I recently bought a Silva type 105 compass from a garage sale ($8...I think it was a good deal...don't know much about compasses and brands....anyway), and I was wondering if there would be any noticeable effects if I attach it to an aluminium tinnie (doesn't seem to have any effect when I put it close to it). Any precautions that I should be aware of so as not to effect the compass? Thanks guys, Caribe

Robbielites
Caribe, 'Any precautions that I should be aware of so as not to effect the compass?" Genral rule of thumb is keep them about 200mm from electronics especially speakers, speakers are just magnets with a bit of cardboard flappin about at the front. Cheers. Robbie.
