ianoc69
Hi all, I have tried to PM / email a Fishraider member up Swansea way but no luck. I am heading up to Swansea (near Newcastle) on Lake Macquarie for a camping trip this weekend 5,6 & 7 Jan 2007. As usual, I will have a flick stick and SPs on board. I have bait fished the Swansea channel on the rocks (near the road bridge) a few years back but never thrown any SP's around this area. Is there any hints or advice that a local may be able to pass on. I have a car but will be land based. Mainly targeting Bream, Flathead, Whiting and Jew if there are any opportunities. Any help by reply or PM much appreciated.

Blood Knot
Ian - Have limited experience up there, but did spend a week at Rafferty's Resort and fished the flats all around the front of the place early every morning and got plenty of good bream and flatties. Just drive in and park by their boat ramp and wade in (excuse the pun). Was lots of flatties in close and shallow so make casts from the sand before wading in and disturbing them. Oh and watch out for the razor fish thingys that stick up from the sand - wading boots or crocs are a good idea. Hope this works for you.
