Guest DV8 Posted January 11, 2007 Share Posted January 11, 2007 i met a guy down south that uses a freshwater electric in salt water and has no problem with it. He has however fitted a zinc anode to the shaft. Has anyone else done this or heard of it being done?? Thought appreciated. davo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Iceman Posted January 12, 2007 Share Posted January 12, 2007 Yep mine is a freshwater and is used in salt all the time It does have a zinc anode on the shaft It gets washed after use and I spray all metal parts bolts screws and such with inox I have never had a problem and the motor(43lb bowmount motorguide)is 4yrs old now Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
