Guest rzep
TWO divers had to spend the night in the sea after surfacing to find their boat had slipped its anchor and drifted away off Mandurah, south of Perth. A search was launched for the men early today after they failed to return from a boating trip. They had set out to sea in their 6m runabout at 9am (WDT) yesterday morning without telling anyone where they were going, police said. Authorities were notified at 1am today. Police said one man was found clinging to rocks just south of Penguin Island and the second was found about an hour later in the water just south of there. The men had gone diving and when they surfaced found their boat had slipped its anchor and drifted away, police said. They dumped their diving gear and spent the night in the water with only their wetsuits and fins. Police said the pair appeared to be in good health.
