Yeeros Posted February 4, 2007 Share Posted February 4, 2007 (edited) Hi All Decided that since the seas were going to be very nice I would head to instead of Lilli Pilli. Got up at 2am with almost no sleeo and headed off to from Stanhope Gardens. to get a good spot and i got to the ledge at 4am, 5 mins after me a dude comes round from liverpool area to set up early as well. Then nobody came till abiout 30mins after sunrise! Dammit i could have slept in more! Live bait was hard to come by and i was swarmed by sweep big and small. In the end i got 4 little yakka's after hooking at least 30 sweep and 2 toads on the jig! Threw em out and i got one hookup, a nice bonito about 2kg that was promptly bled and killed. Only other thing caught was a 2kg drummer by a guy fishing the bottom. did see fish busting up twice for about 15 seconds a time! couldn't even get my bait rod rigged with a lure in time and when i got casting i got nothing out of it.
