Davy Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 hey raiders, might head up near fig for a fish sometime this week. i read somewhere on the site that there were poddies at lane cove river? could anyone tell me where i could find some? as ive been wanting to trap some! cheers Davy
lurespinner Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 HEAPS at ftb and i mean heaps just bream em up and set the trap i rekon they come in at dead low mostly if u get out on the sandbar you should get some
Guest dicko1 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 i just did a trip up there for three days and found them to be not as plentiful as we hoped. Definately concentrate on the sandbars at low tide either side of the bridge, with the bar on the upstream side producing more in the slightly deeper water closer to shore. We got some heaps good bream fishing them live and unweighted...
Davy Posted February 11, 2007 Author Posted February 11, 2007 ah thnx guys... wud i have to wade out onto the flats to place the trap?
Guest dicko1 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 ah thnx guys... wud i have to wade out onto the flats to place the trap? no both flats are accessible at low tide from various points along the shore. The flat directly under the bridge is accessible by going down the loop road, the other one that i found more productive is also accessible from a car park, but i dunno how to get there as i was by boat...
