Kiama Boat Ramp.

While down the coast recently, I was using the ramp at Kiama Harbour. It is a good ramp with direct access to the ocean.

While I was there the Council had half the ramp closed while divers were in the water doing some surveying and taking underwater photos. I asked the council bloke there what they were doing.

He informed me that Kiama Council has been allocated funds to install another wharf with floating pontoon.

This is good news for us trailer boat fishermen. Looks like the council has started the ball rolling and hopefully in the not to distance future the construction will start.

For those of you who know the ramp at Kiama Harbour, the proposed new wharf and pontoon will be constructed on the left hand side of the ramp as you look at it from the road.
