mrmoshe
Men stole identity to buy $350,000 boat Police have charged two Sydney men with stealing a person's identity to buy a boat worth more than $350,000. The 2007 model Sea Ray Sundancer was purchased from a dealer in southern Sydney on February 23. Police said the sale was later found to have been fraudulent, through the alleged use of identity theft. After receiving reports yesterday that the 30-foot cruiser had been seen motoring through Sydney Heads, police intercepted it on the Hawkesbury River near Patonga. Two Chatswood men - a 19-year-old and a 43-year-old - have been charged with illegal use of a conveyance and money laundering. They are due to appear in Manly Local Court on April 4. snag
Good to see the police doing something good, but how hard is it to find a 350,000 boat. You would think the guys would have more brains than that.

gyropilot
Seeing what the courts are doing of late, they will probably get a $200 fine and told to do 50 hours of community service !!! If the judge is really hard, they may get a $200 good behaviour bond.. Yeah right... Cheers Geoff
