PPSGT Posted March 10, 2007 Share Posted March 10, 2007 Not really a report, but while I was waiting to pick up my mates I was trying for squid about 10 metres out from the jetty at Balmoral in 8-15 feet of water. I could clearly see kings and bonito swimming around and also busting up on the surface a few times. (probably why i wasnt getting any squid ) But for the land based guys - with clifton gardens jetty being so busy, there was no one fishing in the shallows and there was plenty of fish visually and on the sounder about half way between the t section where everyone was fishing and the beach. I reckon with small livie 6 feet under a float ( or a pillie head on the cheapo gear ) about 20 feet out and you'd be in with a chance.
