slothe Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Whils't respooling our reels the other day we thought what a waste could this be recycled? Has anyone tried or thought of doing this?
Lasty Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 See my post in the tackle section. I re-used old mono as a leader and dropped the biggest flathead I have ever seen yesterday. All my old mono is now in the bin and I will be going shoppong this week.
mrmoshe Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Whils't respooling our reels the other day we thought what a waste could this be recycled? Has anyone tried or thought of doing this? Some local councils have installed TAngler Bins at popular fishing spots throughout NSW to recycle monfilament fishing line. These bins can be used to dispose of unwanted fishing line and keep the environment clean. The list of councils that have these bins installed so far include: Rockdale City Council Tweed Shire Council Hornsby Shire Council Wollongong City Council Kempsey Shire Council Pittwater Council… It may be the best way to dispose of your old lines. Hope this helps. Cheers, Pete.
slothe Posted March 17, 2007 Author Posted March 17, 2007 Cheers Pete, I'll get onto my local council about that. just a thought what about NSW fisheries doing something about it. Use some of our fishing licience fees on things like this.
