SUBLiME Posted March 27, 2007 Share Posted March 27, 2007 Hey guys.. gna be headin down to Clifton on sat morning with Lurespinner... just wanted to know that as ive never used squid b4..if we end up usin it ... whats the correct method of hookin one onto a hook? thnx for ur help in advance shant Another question... whats the best combo for a rich burley? I was thinkin... - Bread - Tuna (cat food) - Sardines - Possibly tuna oil if i can get my hand on some... all obviously mixed... lol thnx.. You pin the top hook about 3mm in from the top of the mantle and the lower hook through the gap between the mantle and the head but off to one side. You have to be careful not to pierce the insides as this will kill the squid. If done properly, the squid will swim freely and when trolled on a downrigger, stay upright. The Dans DVD has a greta example of how to hook both live and dead squid (aswell as being the most entertaining Kingy DVD on the market). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
