Kjd Posted April 2, 2007 Share Posted April 2, 2007 Date Fished: Monday, 2nd April 2007 Action: Location: Minnamurra River/Lake Illawarra Time Fished: 7am-12pm Result: Arrived at Minnamurra around 7am flicked the SP's around for an hour, working a couple of types of SP's in the mangroves and around the bridge pilons with no luck. Moved down river about 100m and My mate caught a little 30cm flathead and let him go. Fishing was quiet there so we decided to go to Lake Illawarra and try our luck. Fished the lake for about 30mins no luck Fished the ocean side of the dredge between the breakwalls and my mate caught a little 10-14cm flathead on a 65mm midnight oil wriggler. Pretty crazy the thing was half its size! Apart from that fished off the rocks as a bit of an experiment with the SP's. got a couple of hits from I don't know what but that was it also. Was pretty slow. I find that when conditions are a little sour (overcast and a bit of wind) we seem to do better then on clear sunny days...
