IkanBilis
Guys, Was wondering if anyone can provide some information regarding Mona Vale or the northern beaches. I'm looking at fishing the rocks next week sometime and was wondering if anyone can advise me of the safest time to fish Mona Vale in regards to swell wind etc etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Rode Cary
hi ikan Mona Vale ledge be dangerous place with moderate to big swells. i normally rely on seabreeze.com.au. If the swell is more than 2m with 10 knots wind, i would rather stay home and watch tv. Safer to fish the out going tide as a general rule but i've seen bigger swells at low tide c/t high tide at same spot same day. have you fish mona vale before? if not, go with a local. its a very good ledge to catch drummer and gropper. But careful - its a NO BAIT GATHERING AREA cheers bertrand
