ilk fish
Greetings Fishraiders Made a few trips to botany bay and picked up some nice bream. I find I either have to really pelt out the baits as far from the boat as possible or just float them right next to the boat. They are my most prolific ways of cathing bream Baits always green prawns. I was fishing mostly in the middle of the bay over sand. Incidently I caught quite a few whiting which I have been told are winter whiting. They have light brown streaks on their sides. Does anyone know about them, and what would be there legal size. ilk

Flattieman
G'day ilk. Those "winter whiting" could be Trumpeter Whiting (Sillago maculata) - there's some info on these fish here. You should be able to find information about bag and size limits by following this link. Flattieman.
