gretsch Posted April 18, 2007 Share Posted April 18, 2007 Gidday Raiders, Just a quick one.. do you guys keep the pump for you livie tank running when you are motoring along? I have a Johnson pump and a saltwater pick up. The dude who installed it said to turn the pump off before travelling between spots. Is this completely necessary? gretsch Posted April 18, 2007 Author Share Posted April 18, 2007 (edited) Chris, reason why he told you to turn it off, is because the water will flow by itself when travelling to and from spots via the pick up system without the aid of the pump. If the pump is on, it could cause it to burn out. Ant Thanks Ant.. the on/off switch is in a %%%%% of a spot.. I keep banging my head on the bait board everytime I go to switch it.
