No sizes given so can't say too much but knowing the fish being caught in the area I'd say there are others who do the same as I used to for my entire fishing life up till about 3 months ago. Fisheries DPI Saltwater guide is very unclear about this. All it says is the fish must be returned to the water immediately. Does not mention having the hook removed. Have a look.
