Penguin
Fished Sydney Harbour Tuesday arvo. My mate Bill and I had plans to head outside and find a reef and try our luck.Got about 4 kms beyond the heads and my starboard motor stalls ,try and get it started,it wont go, turn around and head slowly back on the port engine to my boat mechanic at Rushcutters Bay to see if they can get it going. After a couple of hours there she fires up,they found silicon sealer blocking the fuel line. They take the boat for a test run and all is fine, but by now im not in the mood to fish anymore and just wana go home.Bill convinces me to give Clifton Gardens a go on the way back. We anchor up get the berley happening and we see lots of Bonnies and Watsons Leaping Bonnies in our trail.Do u think we coud get them to take a bait or lure,no, not even interested. We started to catch a few Snapper and a heap of Flatties, mostly undersize.Kept 2 Snapper that went 30 and 33 cm, and 1 flatty 44cm,and 2 Flounders. Got a couple of realy good runs also, but got bitten off both times. Then we caught a Bream 28cm and a few Trevors 35-40cm. We had a feed for our 2 families so we packed it in,it wasnt the fishing afternoon we planned but we got some fishing done in the end. penguin ps:there were some huge, and I mean huge Bream around the boat berths at Rushcutters Bay,too bad you cant fish there. sparkles
Penguin, I think we should start a raiders comp, to see who can lay out their catch in the most artistic manor. Yours is very symmetrical and impressive. Nice feed there mate. Arch

Flattieman
Still a great feed of fish, mate. Shame about the engine problems... very annoying when it's the fuel line. Sounds like you need a way to land those bonnies that have been hanging in your berley trail - do you think that's what was biting you off? Flattieman.
