henryinnis
Hey guys, I am planning to head to Rose bay wharf wednesday arvo for a daylight squid, jsut wondering has anyone ever fished for squid there before? (I have seen and hooked some there, just trying to refine my technique)... henry
gness
I went down there on Saturday night and threw a jig around for an hour or so which resulted in a big fat donut. There were 2 other people there squiding with the same results. Let us know how you go, hopefully you do better than me!
humesy
Definitely squid to be caught there but they can be fickle. Used to be better with the light on. Jetty was under repair for a while. Choose a still night over a windy one. Cheers
Mondo Rock
Rose Bay is fickle for squid (but almost a guarantee for yakkas). You need there to be no wind and a high tide (after 8pm when the ferries stop running) otherwise you won't get much. I've got ten squid in under ten minutes at Rose Bay in those conditions.
