Kariong Cod

Hi raiders,

While at a local winery on the central coast on the week end i picked up a brocure of a place called Mount Penang Gardens.

Apparently it has a stocked dam that is open to the public for catch and release fishing. It is stocked with Murray Cod and yellow belly.

Has anyone heard anything about this place or fished it?

Yeah I had heard about it a few years back but for some reason I thought that they had shut the place down.

I believe that the place has shut down. Well the fishing pond anyways. I was there about 2 years ago and caught a couple of Cod's and silver perch. Was fun, shame it's closed tho (last time i checked anyways).
