OFFICIAL RULES FOR HAIRTAIL SOCIAL 2007

The Hawkesbury River will be the venue for this event , you may fish anywhere within it for Hairtail .

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Anyone who would like to Pre-Register for the Hairtail Social may do so on Thursday Night at the Workshop. We will have registration forms available for you to sign if you wish to start fishing on the Friday night.

All members who wish to enter fish for consideration of a prize must Register with us at Apple Tree Bay ( this is for legal reasons) . Registrations will commence from Midday Saturday July 7th .

In the event that we have 2 identically sized fish , the two anglers names will be entered into a hat , and the winner drawn by myself.

The organisers decision as to the winning entry is final , and no correspondance will be entered into.

This event is open to both Landbased and Boating members.

All boats must conform to Maritime Regulations , particularly safety vests for each person on board , a bucket , oars ( if only running one motor) , waterproof torch etc.

You may start fishing anytime after you have signed on and registered until 11 AM On Sunday 8th July . Remember , to be eligible for the prize , you must register with us on Saturday afternoon. We will hold the weigh in at Apple Tree Bay , and the prize will be awarded for the largest Hairtail at this time . We will hold a small BBQ lunch for those that care to join us.

If for some reason the weather becomes unfishable , or the waters dangerous the event will be postponed to a later date. This is purely for safety reasons. Due to the storms of recent weeks , there may be debris in the water , please be very careful , particularly if you re navigating during the hours of darkness.

Most of all , bring along your sense of fun!! Be competetive by all means , but remember that this is a social day , not a fishing comp as such.
