KINGvirgin
Hey Raiders, does anyone know of any good rock fishing spots around Sydney? I usually travel (from sydney) to kiama and JB for my rock fix but am keen on fishing in my "own backyard". I only fish light targetting salmon, tailor, bream, trevally and drummer . And also my number 1 point is obviously a safe place, i dont mind (sometimes prefer) a higher ledge to avoid getting wet feet ( I also highly regard a place that is easily accessible ie no ropes or 3hr walks from car!) We'll say a radius between Avalon to the north and Stanwell Pk to the south any pictures would be fabulous thanks for your help guys Cheers, Ian PS i have never tried off the beach so i would be willing to learn, so throw in some good beaches if u know some, THANKS! xtosea
A good place to start is South Curl Curl ledges. 50m walk, fish are there, and its comfortable in any type of weather nearly. Top little spot. Kamil

bobfish
agree Also i find north curlie is a winner in the very early morning. There's a weird wave break though, it kinda comes from nowhere. So stand back and keep your eyes peeled. Top spot though. If you want to get more adventurous again, Dee Why headland (past the pool) is a ripper. There is a cliff climb over water so its not for the feint hearted, but ive never left there without a fish. It comes with a nice livie pool and rod holders to boot! Ripper spot.
