Kit
I bought a brand new Team Daiwa Python Battler today... Its a 6ft 3in graphite lure rod... it looked and felt absolutely awesome, except when I took it home and had a proper look at it, I noticed that the blank had a slight curve in it. now I suspect this is because of the way it was packaged. Daiwa place the rod inside a clear plastic box, and they have a rectangular piece of foam protecting the rod tip. Due to the large bottom guide, the cork grips and the the piece of foam protecting the tip, the blank doesn't lay straight inside the box, and I *think* this could be the reason for the blank not being totally straight. not sure what I should do, I will contact the tackle store tomorrow. But if this is how all the rods are packaged then wouldnt they all have a slight bend in it? will it correct itself over time? thanks
Rick T
I have the same rod packed the same way and there were no curves in the blank even in the box so take it back. Hopefully they have another to replace it as they r scarce to replace otherwise u may have to live with a bent python . I have owned many a rod in my time and the battlers are easily the best of the best in my opinion. Edited December 5, 2004 by Rick T
