pelican Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 What oil are you using? How many hours on motor? TWC3 XD50 or XD100
a boat Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Hi Boutime, no this is not normal and needs to get looked at by someone that has the training and equipment to check the engine over with the laptop. Cheers, Huey.
Guest Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 What about the 3 years maintenance free slogan???? What has that got to do with a fault in someones motor. Maintainence is scheduled routine stuff, if something goes wrong with a particular part of the motor ,which can happen to any brand of motor it needs to be rectified asap. Huey says it is a fault and they need to be looked at. Craig is doing his very best to address all these questions and please give him the respect he deserves. He doesnt have to answer any of these queries unless he actually sold the motor to you . Cheers Stewy
Chris 55 Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 I've heard of some injector probs on Etecs and they were fixed under warranty but the speed of repair was governed by the quality of the dealer Let me say if all boat dealers were like Huey there would be less closing down and a lot more happier boat owners out there to you Huey - quality advice - expert service and top class customer care "That's what I'm talking about" now who is that seems to use that catch phrase all the time Chris
CR@ZY OS@M@ Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 i get that on my engine. just on my last venture out ,when we got back i flushed the engine but not much water was being flushed through, very weird, lucky im taking it to get sorted out

Guest Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Huett Marine are experts in the field and have a long history in the boating industry and if in doubt take your very expensive motors to them and have them checked out if you are having problems. I know where I will be taking my boat motor for its service Cya soon Craig. Cheers Stewy
