eastwood1980 Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Hi, been reading this forum for few months now..... around 10months but today i have decided to become a member. Have you guys seen this on Sydney morning herald and what's your opinion? http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/waters...5339257839.html Pittwater Council ordered Unomedical, which makes sterile disposable equipment for operating theatres, to stop using its sterilising unit after discovering that untreated ethylene oxide, classified as a carcinogen by the World Health Organisation, had been pumped untreated across the northern beaches from the stacks in Mona Vale for years. PS ( i love those hairtail reports) I'm landbased. Anyone know good location around Cowan for hairtail? When does the season end for hairtail? Lobster seasons coming.
Chris 55 Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Eastwood good to see you have decided to join us Interesting but worrying post, not really surprising with all the other reports of contamination of the Sydney area by industry due to ignorance and greed that have surfaced after being hidden from the public for so long You can only hope people have learnt from past mistakes, but there is always someone ruled by the $$$$ over responsible business ethics and the good of the community that tries the wrong road Don't forget there are boaties looking for fishing buddies out there so check the Hairtail posts for references of LB spots to try and crew required Good to you Chris
