Luringbream
Just a few questions about electric motors. I may purchase one tomorrow but there is a few things i should clear up first. Does an electric motor have a significant effect on the balance of the boat? For example if i place the motor along the port side, will the boat lean somewhat to the left? Also how strong is the shaft? I do alot of open water fishing and the boat gets pretty hammered in decent conditions. Can it break? The Iceman
There is not enough weight in a n electric to affect balance I would be more concerned about where you put the battery You may want to put a brace on the shaft to stop it bouncing around I have seen a few boats with the shaft braced for travelling
