Chriso_87 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone has fished Gaire beach and if it any good? Thanks
jewgaffer Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 fished there a number of times for a few salmon, flatties, tailor & sharks... found the tides aren't the most important aspect of a successful session but rather being there on dusk or dawn, however a rising tide on dusk is most favourable. Garie is a great beach to fish in a westerly as the high mountain surroundings provide excellent protection. You will need to pay a national park entrance fee on weekends (about $11 or thereabouts) and the gates close daily sometime around 8-9pm (there is a sign on the gate at the garie turn off which gives the actual time) i should be there this weekend. CFD Informative reply, crazedfisherdude, I like the hook position in your profile pic for the livies you've got ready for the weekend. cheers jewgaffer
