fished there a number of times for a few salmon, flatties, tailor & sharks... found the tides aren't the most important aspect of a successful session but rather being there on dusk or dawn, however a rising tide on dusk is most favourable.

Garie is a great beach to fish in a westerly as the high mountain surroundings provide excellent protection.

You will need to pay a national park entrance fee on weekends (about $11 or thereabouts) and the gates close daily sometime around 8-9pm (there is a sign on the gate at the garie turn off which gives the actual time)

i should be there this weekend.

Hey CFD thanks i was thinking about thursday depending on the weather if not probably sunday, is it better off the rocks on the left or just from the beach, and also whats the best bait would full pillies on gangers be the way to go?
