Wentworth Falls Lake

could anyone out there clear up a rumour i heard at the local club that fishing is no longer allowed at wentworth falls lake , and if so for what reason if anyone knows

i haven't heard that rumor, i live 2 minutes from the lake and i walk home from school 2-3 times per week almost always seeing 2 or more fisherman. i'd say troutboy is the guy to ask.

I had to ask the question because I told some people to go there and a local told them there hasn't been fishing there for ages

First I have heard of it. I was there this morning and pulled in a nice little brown on a 40mm jointed shad rap in brown trout pattern. There is not too many fish in the lake but those you catch all seem to be from 2 different year class stockings, usually they average from 2 to 4lb although I have seen and caught fish up to 5lb. Mainly browns although the odd rainbow gets caught if using powerbait. cheers troutboy
