Fishing Around Whitsundays

going to the whitsundays for a week in a couple of days does any one know of any good spots to fish?

I'm sure there is plenty of good spots but being such a large area some direction would be handy.

any info on the area would be interesting.

dude its qld everywhere is a good spot

i suggest hire a little half cabin boat at (shute harbour i think) and troll some poppers, skirts, shallow divers around the islands. no doubt you will pick up some masive golden trevally or some mean preditors

otherwise look for some reef and bottom bash with some big hooks. and your a good chance at a coral trout or some sharks

watch out for sea turtles
