Mullet

Hi guys, i spent a few hours the other day trying to get some fresh bait for a nice fat jewfish. I am trying to target the bigger size mullet but they seem very shy and don’t seem to eat any thing. I am using bread under a float and feel its the wrong move. Any tips would be helpful. i am fishing Narrabeen lake.

[a lot of bread berley will attract them on the surface you will see them spashing

i use 4lb line no float no8 hook no lead maybe a small split shot in the currant

squeeze the soft bread onto hook tight as you can leaving the point exposed they usually hook themselves
