Guest Claxton
Mate, There are some average spots around bobbin head, If you are looking for yakkas bobbin head warf is the best, jsut burley hard with bread. Waratah bay and cottage point is defiantly a spot to try, but i found it is better in winter for small snapper and the rare jewie. If not just try anywhere close to the shore around 15m from the shore, and burley hard with bread and tuna oil. Goodluck mate and welcome to the site cheers, Mike Gday Dejavu, i'm sure we've spoken before ! I'm off on the hawkesbury tomorrow heading out from Cottage point. will let you know how i go on monday. well done on getting theboat, its still a dream of mine. mike cheers for the burley tip ! Buster and co
Hi Deja Vu, Take a run up to Smiths Creek. The first bay inside the creek has extensive sand flats. Great place for a swim with your kids, but also holds some very nice whiting. If you have a baitpump and are going some time around the bottom of the tide, take it with you as there are plenty of nippers in the sand and the whiting just love them. Have fun, Cheers, Rick

Guest dejavu
Hi Guys, well we went out from ATB an straight to Lion Island in Hawks. The sounthern side was very windy and choppy, so we moved to the northern side were we caught plenty of snapper and released. This proved to be so much fun for the kids as they were catching non stop. We also caught the odd rock cod, wrase and 33 cm flattie, once again not worth keeping. My younger son caught a nice 37cm Taylor as he reeled up to check his bait it put up,what a fighter. Just to see the smile from ear to ear made my day. All in all no a productive day, but a lot of fun in our new boat and a great way to fish. Cant wait for our next outing. will put up pics when I work it out. Cheers.
