Love the Jackson River, fished it a few times and the flats are always a high light.

Did you hit the tunas just out the front?

I agree with Andrew, Bludger trev.

Goldens don't have the scoots on the tail and have big rubber lips.

Well done, looks like a great trip!

Nice going Ringo :tease: . Sounds like a top trip mate.

The only bad thing about doing a trip like that is trying to get back into the fishing when you get home. Took me about a month to even look at a rod and reel when I got home from the Cape last time - nothing compares to fishing the top end.

That would have been great fun

Looks like you were fishing the flats

Looks more like a bludger trevally than a golden

You are probably right,looking at it again its probably not one of the goldens we got.

We caught 7 species of trevally all up,which were mostly Goldens,bludgers,GT'S & some thumper diamonds

around the 7 to 8kg mark.

As to the longtail tuna & mackerel schools working the baitfish on the surface,that was totally awesome

spinning metals at longtail tuna to 15kg,mack tuna,spotted & spanish mackerel up to 10kg,every morning

for the 10days i was there.But we lost count of how many hooked fish we lost to big sharks,unbelievable!

cheers buddy;
