First Snapper Of The Season

Gun Pair of snapper caught last night out off my local ramp in Clifton Springs,Vic at the turn of the tide falling on night.I was using 12lb line on a 4-6kg rod matched with the ever reliable Abu 6600w.One on the right of the pic went 6.23kg and the left was 4.51kg. Was very happy with the start to the season for me and dont worry they get much bigger than these down here so i will post the bigger buggers when i get them,tight lines,smoothaz.

Those Victorian snapper are Smoothaz alright. Well done mate what we ought to do is interact with you and go down there to Victoria and you can come up here and fish with us and catch our version of snapper on the backwater jetties up here

Thanks guys and i am only too happy to show you guys the spots down here.A little local knowledge beats the advice of a tackle store any day.Perhaps its that i am not trying to sell you bait.
