shan777
Hey everyone, been working hard on my boat, its coming along nicely, will do a big post real soon. I got a good Minn Kota off ebay and i'm just wondering if anyone has some tips on what battery and battery charger to get. I want something cheap on the pocket but with a good amount of endurance. It'll only be used for electric plus the occassional lights Davemmm- i tried to send you back a pm but it didn't work. Will try again later Shan

Nolongeramember
thanks for the info, what about the charger, what would be my best set up??? You can spend a stacks of money for a high quality charger but I reckon one of the automotive ones you get from super cheap/ big w etc are good enough. Look for around 5-10amps charge rate. Any less and it takes too long to charge but will still work. And I prefer one that stops automatically when the battery is full. Some dont stop and have to be monitored and switched off manually. IWANNABROCK
You can also buy chargers which cycle on and off to keep battery in primo condition they are the best to buy as you just set and forget. also you can put boat battery in your car to keep charged up on occasions.
