Mugen
Hey guy's As I am new to this live baiting fishing.. Can anyone tell me what the best place to hook the Yakka. I've heard you can hook em just above the nose ...? Any advise would be great.. Thanks Raiders
Penguin
I hook em just behind the head or just before the tail, if im towing them around I pin em through the nose on a sliding snell rig and i place the trailing hook alongside the body, b4 the tail and use a rubber band to keep the hook in place outside the yakka. This trailing hook does not enter the yakka at all. penguin

Robbielites
I put a very small cable tie through the eye sockets and pull it down on to the hook. Going through the nose can get abit messy if you dont get it right first time. And they tow really well this way. Robbie.

Bigfoot
You can purchase latex bait holders that fit onto either side of the livie on the actual hook and prevent the bait wriggling off during a cast. If your NOT towing your livies and have to cast with lead or a floating rig then i have found a hook placed in the upper and midddle of the body will still allow movement and keep the bait alive for ages............ and ages. If that fails, Bridle them by passing an elastic band just in front of the eye and then pass one loop through the other ( pull till firm) then loose end is loop tied into the gape of your hook. EASY!!! Catch Ya Bigfoot
the1murph
yeh I just use a bridalling pin to push an elastic band through the top of the yakkas eye socket and then put the two sides onto the gape of the hook
