Fishing Bay Of Plenty, Nz, Jan 08

heading over to NZ in Jan for a wedding so figured i better fish the Bay of Plenty just so i have. Any tips for charters or does it not matter because the fishing is as good as the stories?

G'day mate ......the BOP is pretty big......depends on where you are going.

Really big Kingies are caught off White Island and the Ranfurly Banks off Whakatane

but I think those are mostly overnighters

There are plenty of charter boats around..........I'd pick one if I were you
