27meg

[Outnumbered]

My 27meg died and the fater in law gave me his very old hand held 6 chanel 5watt unit.

only problem is the channels are marked "A,B,C,D,E,F"

anyone know what channels these would be? the only thing i have picked up is some coastgaurd on B so i think that might be 88.

That reminds me. Have to go purchase one. I seem for one reason or another to buy a 27meg every year. They seem to get ingrese (moister) and basicly give out a high pitch scream, im up to my 4th in 4 years. Theyre nice and cheap and wouldnt hit the water without one!

Ihad the same problem with mine until I bought the GME cover for $29 and shes sweet they are a crappy set up due to water getting in the speaker when washing Ill put up a photo to show soon

As per promised these units are crap due to the speaker not being water proof unlike the new AM FM Gme sterio AND they can be dash mounted or under dash mounted and dont bother ring Gme as they would't know if there arses were on fire

We've had the gme on both our boats and have never had a problem, although both boths had/have bimini and clears so you never got a drop of water on you or the dash. I've seen heaps of boats with the old gme's still going strong, keeping them dry seems to be the key.
