kbark
I need to make an order from the US today (a mate is bringing one over for me) so I won't be able to test which reel best suits the rod. I'm ordering either a 2500 or 3000 Daiwa Advantage to match an 8-14lb Daiwa Advantage rod. Both reels have 7kg of drag so it's just a matter of weight and line capacity. I'll be using 10-15lb braid for luring kings. I'm guessing it doesn't matter too much but if you have any thoughts I'd appreciate them. Cheers, Kit
johnno
kit i would say go the 2500 if you ever need more then 125metres of braid then start chasing with the boat. also you will get over 125m onto a 2500 spool easy you need to consider where, what and how deep you are fishing if you use it 80metres plus the 3000 might be a better option. i know the sol has the same size bodyas the 2500 and uses the 3000 spool i am not sure if this is the same with the TDA reel thats my 2 cents worth

Steve07
3000 size would suit you best for chasing kings on light 15lb braid spin tackle,it will handle most fish in the 65 to 75cm range quite comfortably. steve
