Flightmanager Posted December 28, 2007 Share Posted December 28, 2007 G'day Bob , There is a small reef at Balmoral , its right in front of a small island , in between the 2 beaches . There are usually plenty of yakkas to be found there , although they will not travel too far from the reef , I usually catch them in about 12 feet of water. roosterman Posted December 28, 2007 Share Posted December 28, 2007 as ross pointed out Balmoral is very reliable yakka spot and can get squid there also... if its still dark or just on light then spit bridge is always alive with baitfish... usuallt any of the wharves in the harbour hold baitfish,some just better than others... with those 2 spots for yakkas you should be ok and not need to travel anywhere else looking... cheers.... steve....
