Davemmm Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 This one is going to sound a bit odd but trust me (i'm a union official) it actually goes alright. Soak those cheap wood skewers in water for a couple of hours. Peel your prawns but keep the the tail section intact. Push a skewer through each prawn from the tail up. With a knife wipe a thin bit of vegemite over the prawn. Whack them on the BBQ. By soaking the wooden skewers you slow down the burning process as the wood holds water. Not sure of the process with the vegemite but by cooking it on the BBQ it changes and becomes a sort of crusty marinade that tastes great. Don't be shy give it a go.
