Ive read alot about the furuno fcv-585 in the fishing media and in these forums and it seems a great unit, but apart from the size whats the main diff? ( in laymans terms ) to the fcv-620 ( the model under it ), its half the price . Any info appreciated oldsalty Apart from a few more user friendly options due to physical size and a bigger screen the 585 can run a 1kW transducer. The 620 only goes to 600w. If your heading out wide the 1kw although priceyis the go for deep water. If your inshore the 620 and 600W will be fine. Cheers Chris Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bluefin Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 As far as i can tell size and the ability to run a different trany is the only difference. the 585 is a big unit, if you are considering one, make sure you have the room.
