Ive jus intstalled my DR in my boat and i am thinking i would need some need beefer leaders to chase these hoodlums. Right now im jus using mono line Penn10x range. Ive got 6lb right up to 30lb Which i guess have do there job. But i know there is better out there. What brands do you guys use for the kings>> Im thinking buyyin a few rolls 40lb, 60lb and 80lb. Jigholio
10x is about as good as nylon gets for chafe resistance. I use it & love it. The fluoro I really like is Sunline FC100. Very expensive tho! The black magic is tops too, best 'handling' for the price - really supple.
lighthouse2k
Don't kow if I would use the supple for kings though, its pretty soft. Does tie nice knots. I just use the surecatch rolls most of the time, its a little harder, still made in japan and ties up ok. I would try the black magic hard leader as well. Little Hooker
guys thanks for the info! Im gon to the tackle store tomorro and see what they sell. I seen surecatch in most stores but i always tend to stay awake from them... No bad expriences or anything i jus think the name sounds dodgy.. haha Might be worht a shot Edited February 14, 2008 by Little Hooker
inhlanzi
I use Jinkai from 20 to 100 lb I like the way it ties ie knots It is a bit soft but have had lots of success on it. I make new leaders for every trip! When you pull the knots up make sure it is wet and do it slowly cheers inhlanzi
