Josh88 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Heres the photos of the big bronzie again with pics of what it was doing to the 24kg rod which don't bend too easily.
robeebee Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Whoo Hoo that looks like a fight and a half
jewgaffer Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 I do notice good backbone in the 50lb rod looking from the second last guide and looking very solid down to the butt as well as having a strong and what appears to be a reaonably fast tip. What make is that overhead rod Josh88 ? Seems to have black and gold wraps not unlike like my u.s. ugly bws bigwater heavy spinners. Cheers jewgaffer

Cheers jewgaffer Hi Jewgaffer, I don't know the exact model but it was a Penn overhead rod that i think said something like GT special on it. It really handled that shark and the smaller one from the day before very well, i was amazed at how much pressure it withstood on that big shark. Cheers Josh
