Mary River, Se Queensland

Hi Raiders,

I'm on holiday in mid April for a few weeks and among other things want to try to catch a Barramundi in the Mary River up near Hervey Bay. The Mary holds the souther most self-sustaining population of Barra in Australia and I want one of them!!

Any tips on where to go, where to base myself, where to launch my boat and how to tackle the fishies would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be towing my boat around for 3 weeks so hopefully I'll have some interesting reportage for you all (Little Slinky is still asking for a Queenie but I'm sure she won't complain about a barra, threadie or Northern Bluefin).
